Rohit Bassi

With 20 years of Private Equity experience across Investing, Operating, & Advising, Rohit launched People Quotient (PQ), a company hyper focused on accelerating human capital capabilities within Privately Equity backed businesses.

Understanding the time sensitive & high ROI decision making needs of PE firms and their portfolio's management teams, he used his investing and operating experiences to build easy to use data driven human capital capability due diligence and development tool kit. Rohit is known for his genuine commitment to people who works with his clients to build high-performing leadership teams and in-house capabilities to deliver on their investement thesis and growth strategy.

As investor in lower mid-market across two funds he oversaw portfolio growth across 10 platforms & multiple add-ons with several successful exits (up to 8 MOIC).  

As operator in MSD capital based B2B services business with exit to KKR he led local, regional, and national P&Ls through organic and acquisitive growth.

As part of McKinsey & Company's Private Equity practice, he advised bulge bracket global PE firms on buy, sell, and operating opportunities.

He is currently working with Fast Company Press to publish his upcoming book on talent operations; A functional fitness nerd who is a global citizen having lived in India, New Zealand, US, UK, Japan, Finland, and Australia.

Rohit Bassi, CEO of P-Quotient

Rohit is the driving force behind People Quotient, a company hyper focused on empowering privately owned businesses to exceed their goals through building high performing teams. Across all parts of his professional and personal life, Rohit is known for his genuine commitment to people. Raised in a military family, Rohit's journey which began traversing India’s cultural diversity and then navigating immigrant life in New Zealand laid the foundation for his people-centric mindset. With an engineering background and an MBA from The Wharton School, his career at McKinsey & Company developed a unique blend of analytical precision and a relentless people-centric ethos.

In the corporate realm, Rohit is known for managing complex business environments. One such example is the pivotal role he played in the growth and sale of private equity owned ValleyCrest Companies, which resulted in a multi-billion-dollar industry defining merger. Transitioning to the investing side, at a Los Angeles based Private Equity firm, he spearheaded the growth and operations of a portfolio of founder-led privately owned B2B service businesses. His distinctive approach, merging analytical prowess with apeople-first mindset, has transformed numerous management teams and fueled several profitable exits. Passionate about entrepreneurial growth and helping founders win, Rohit founded Zero Sigma Ventures, an investment and advisory platform for early and growth stage companies.

Now, with his latest and most exciting venture, People Quotient, Rohit is on a mission to empower millions of private enterprises worldwide. Emphasizing the central role of people in transformational growth of businesses and increase in their enterprise value, he is excited to share his internationally proven talent acquisition method, principles, and practices, to help companies build and leverage high performing teams to achieve exceptional growth.

Mark Moloney

As our CTO, Mark is hyper-focused on helping People Quotient build scalable technology and data platforms to support the high-speed data driven decision making needs of our private equity clients and their portfolio companies. He brings 20 years of experience building Machine Learning/AI systems, and has led numerous technical and operating roles across US, UK, NZ, and Australia for public and private companies. He combines deep, hands-on technical knowledge with leadership experience to provide expertise across: 

Machine Learning/AI: Building data driven systems that support rapid growth and scale.

Tech Due Diligence: Helping investors on technology due diligence and CAPEX prioritization.

Implementation: Supporting technical implementation in businesses across sectors, scale and stage.

Leadership EXPERT

David Brown

David is a highly accomplished performance psychologist, leadership consultant, and executive coach with over 30 years of experience driving transformational change in business, sports, and politics. With a PhD in psychology, and background in finance, and leadership, David combines strategic insight with deep interpersonal expertise to develop leaders, enhance communication, and build high-performance cultures. Some notable engagements include:

Business: Former senior global leadership advisor for 20 years to McKinsey & Company;  a coach to global CEOs, Boards, and high-performing teams across numerous industries.

Elite sports: Mental performance coach to: multiple World Champions in Formula 1 and Formula E, World Cup-winning footballers, head-coaches and athletes in Bundesliga, La Liga, and English Premier League, and leading global figures in cricket and golf.

Public sector: Former special advisor to the British Prime Minister; has coached several other senior government, global leaders, and executive teams in organizations such as the United Nations, the Clinton Foundation, and the European Central Bank.

Non-profit: He leads a UK non-profit supporting youth development and education.
